THE AsSiddique Weekly (The Weekly) continues to gain momentum, with exciting plans for its future actively underway. Among these ambitious goals is the intention to publish The Weekly in a tabloid format, utilizing a six-column layout to provide readers with more content and an improved design. A printed edition is being considered. Another significant step is expanding The Weekly’s reach to a broader audience—a move previously tested at the Edmond Low Library, where it met with remarkable success.
Many OSU students who reviewed The Weekly shared positive feedback; some praised the beauty of the masthead, which brings pride to both me and to this project. Looking forward, The Weekly’s new initiatives will require an expanded team, and we warmly invite those who are interested in joining the editorial staff. For those willing to volunteer, The Weekly is ready to provide support, including technical and journalistic training, to help contributors succeed and grow in their roles. The Weekly is currently speaking with some OSU students to join its team.
Currently, The Weekly leads a host of ambitious projects, with more to be announced at the right time in sha’ Allah. The Weekly is also deepening its engagement with the Stillwater community while remaining committed to supporting and guiding the Muslim community. Our goal is to identify challenges and promote best practices that keep the Islamic Center in Stillwater, the ICS, effective in serving both its members and the wider community.
